Find Your Own Way
PRINCIPLE 1 OF 10
Every person is unique. There does not need to be one correct way to live, find happiness, understand existence, build relationships, practice spirituality, or experience life. Discover what gives your life meaning. Your way does not have to become someone else’s way.
The explanation
Every individual is unique. There is no single way of living that must fit every person. Discover your own way of understanding life, finding meaning, experiencing happiness, building relationships, and growing. Your way does not need to become someone else’s way.
In the Master Philosophy
Every individual is different. There is no obligation to copy another person’s life simply because it is traditional, popular, successful, religious, modern, or socially accepted. Learn from others. Listen to others. But ultimately, develop the ability to think about your own life and choose your own direction. Your life does not have to look like someone else’s.
How to read it
Practical interpretation
- Your life can look different from the lives around you and still be a good life.
- Learning from others and choosing your own direction belong together.
What this does not mean
- It does not mean ignoring the people your choices affect, and it does not give your way priority over anyone else's. The freedom you claim belongs to them too.
